The iQOO Z11 went on sale in India on August 25, 2026, starting at ₹34,999. It launched five days earlier, on August 20. The phone that reached India is not the same device that global spec sites list under the name, and that gap is the most useful thing about this launch.
iQOO is a sub-brand of vivo, the Chinese phone maker. Its Z line targets buyers who want strong hardware without a flagship price.
What the India model runs
NokiaMob reports the India Edition carries a "unique design language and specification sheet that distinctly sets it apart from the versions currently sold in China and Malaysia." That is the key to reading any spec table for this phone.
Three India sources agree on the core parts:
| Component | India model |
|---|---|
| Chipset | MediaTek Dimensity 7500 Turbo |
| Display | 6.83-inch 1.5K curved AMOLED, 144Hz |
| Rear camera | 50MP Sony IMX882 with optical stabilization |
| Front camera | 32MP |
| Software | Android 16 with OriginOS 6 |
| Update policy | 3 years of Android version updates |
GSMArena's entry, by contrast, lists a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 4. That is a different chip family from a different vendor. Cashify's octa-core breakdown for the India unit matches MediaTek's part, not Qualcomm's, so the Snapdragon listing appears to describe a model sold elsewhere.
The numbers the sources do not agree on
Two specifications remain genuinely unsettled, and readers should treat both with caution.
| Specification | TelecomTalk | Cashify | GSMArena |
|---|---|---|---|
| Battery | 9,020 mAh | 7,050 mAh | 9,020 mAh |
| Charging | 90W | 44W | 90W |
| Peak brightness | 2,000 nits | 2,000 and 3,000 nits | 5,000 nits |
The battery gap is almost 2,000 mAh, and the charging figure differs by more than double. Cashify's lower pair matches the pre-launch reporting for India. TelecomTalk's higher pair matches GSMArena's entry for the other-market model. Cashify contradicts itself on brightness, listing 2,000 nits in High Brightness Mode and 3,000 nits in its specification table.
We are not resolving this from published sources. Anyone buying should check the figure on iQOO India's own listing rather than a spec aggregator.
Price and availability
Four variants went on sale at once, per TelecomTalk and NokiaMob.
| Configuration | Price |
|---|---|
| 6GB + 128GB | ₹34,999 |
| 8GB + 128GB | ₹39,999 |
| 8GB + 256GB | ₹44,999 |
| 12GB + 256GB | ₹49,999 |
Sales began at 12pm IST on August 25 through Amazon, the iQOO India website, Reliance Digital and retail stores. Launch offers included ₹3,000 in bank discounts and ₹1,000 coupons.
What this means for developers
Regional variants break your device matrix. The same marketing name shipping with MediaTek silicon in one market and Qualcomm in another means a crash report tagged "iQOO Z11" tells you less than you think. Log the chipset and the build fingerprint, not the model name, or you will chase a graphics bug that only exists on one continent.
The GPU changes with the chip. A Dimensity part uses Arm's Mali graphics; a Snapdragon uses Adreno. If you ship anything with shaders, camera pipelines or on-device inference, those two take different optimization paths and hit different driver bugs. Testing one does not cover the other.
Three years of Android updates is a planning input. A device sold in 2026 with that commitment stays on a supported version into 2029. That is a reasonable argument for keeping your minimum SDK conservative rather than assuming this segment upgrades quickly.
Test at 144Hz, not at 60. High refresh rates on mid-range hardware are where sloppy render loops become visible battery drain. If your app requests the highest available rate by default, measure what that costs on a phone in this class before shipping it.
