Corrections Policy
We publish quickly, and sometimes we will get things wrong. When that happens, we fix it fast and we don't hide it.
How to report an error
- Email: send the article link and what you believe is wrong to contact@techaiwire.com with the subject "Correction request".
You don't need to prove anything or fill in a form. A link and one sentence is enough.
What happens next
- A person on the Tech AI Wire Team reads every correction request, normally within 48 hours.
- If the report is right, we fix the article immediately.
- Factual errors (a wrong number, name, date, claim, or attribution) get a visible, dated correction note appended to the article, e.g.: "Correction (Aug 7, 2026): an earlier version of this article gave the wrong release date. The update shipped on August 5, not August 3."
- Minor fixes (typos, formatting, broken links) are fixed silently - they don't change the meaning of the article.
- If an entire article turns out to be fundamentally wrong, we don't quietly delete it: we replace the body with a note explaining what we got wrong and why.
Translations
Every article here is written and edited in English first, then translated into 5 other languages: German, Japanese, French, Spanish, and Portuguese. The English article is the original and the version we stand behind: where a translation and the English article disagree, the English article is the accurate one.
Translation introduces errors of its own - a term of art rendered literally, a number that changes shape, a sentence that ends up meaning the opposite. We're sorry when that happens, and we would rather hear about it than leave it standing. Report a translation mistake exactly the way you would report any other error, and tell us which language and which article you were reading - a link to the page and the wording that reads wrong is enough.
A translation fix gets the same visible, dated note as any other correction, and the note names the language, the wording that was wrong and the wording that replaced it, e.g.: "Correction (Aug 7, 2026), German edition: an earlier version of this article translated ‘shipping in beta’ as ‘ausgeliefert’ (shipped). It now reads ‘als Beta verfügbar’." The note is published on the translated article it applies to, and links to the English original. If the error turns out to be in the English article too, we correct both.
Why we take this seriously
A news site is only as good as its accuracy, and every newsroom makes mistakes. What separates trustworthy ones is fixing errors quickly and visibly instead of quietly. Reader corrections make the site better, and we're genuinely grateful for them.
